Zooming speed is 20% faster than its predecessor due to the new Advanced Digital Drive Unit, which features an absolute value encoder that is capable of highly accurate position detection and output through 16-bit processing, making it possible to produce highly accurate virtual footage. A new IS control engine further improves image stabilizer performance.
